3 Ways To Update Your Address With The CRA

Keeping your information updated with Canada Revenue Agency (“CRA”) is especially important with tax season coming soon.
To avoid any delay or problem, please update your address if you have moved in 2022.
CRA has some options to facilitate changing your address:

1. Online

Change your address online immediately using My Account for Individuals Or My Business Account
This is the preferred method.

2. By Phone

You will need to Call 1-800-959-8281 (Monday to Friday 8AM to 8PM / Saturday 9AM to 5PM)
Before you call, to verify your identity, you’ll need:

  1. Your Social Insurance Number
  2. Full name and date of birth
  3. Your complete address
  4. A prior year assessed tax return, notice of assessment or reassessment, other tax document, or be signed into My Account

3. By Mail

To update your Address by complete the Form RC325 – Address change request and mail the completed form to the address on the forms.

If you need to change the address for another individual at the same time, such as your spouse or common-law partner, include a signed letter with your form that contains the individual’s:

  1. Name
  2. Social Insurance Number
  3. Signature

* This option in less desirable as it could take some time for CRA to process the form *

Remember to update your address with each government organization that provides services to you, since address updates are not automatically shared across departments and agencies.
